Registered Nurse – De‑addiction & Psychiatric Care

About the role

CARE De-addiction and Psychiatric Treatment Centre is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Nurse for its Dindigul branch. You will provide direct, compassionate care to individuals undergoing de‑addiction and psychiatric treatment, ensuring safety and supporting recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and assess patient condition regularly.
• Administer prescribed medications and assist with medical and therapeutic procedures.
• Observe, document, and report patient progress and response to treatment.
• Support counselling and therapeutic activities as directed by the multidisciplinary team.
• Respond to emergencies in coordination with physicians and psychiatric professionals.
• Maintain a safe, structured environment and educate patients and families on treatment plans.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to relapse‑prevention and rehabilitation programs.
• Ensure accurate clinical records and adhere to ethical and professional standards.

Required profile

• Recognized nursing qualification (Diploma in Nursing or B.Sc Nursing) with valid registration.
• Experience or strong interest in psychiatric nursing, de‑addiction, or mental‑health settings.
• Compassionate, non‑judgmental, trauma‑informed approach to care.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, counsellors, and social workers.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Willingness to work full‑time on‑site in Dindigul, including shift‑based duties.
• Basic computer proficiency for electronic documentation.
