Recreation Associate

About the role

The Recreation Associate is the primary point of contact for guests enjoying the resort’s leisure facilities. You will ensure a safe, fun, and welcoming environment across pools, beach areas, fitness centers, and activity zones.

Key responsibilities

• Provide information about all recreation amenities and assist guests with bookings and registrations.
• Promote a relaxed atmosphere while enforcing safety rules and regulations.
• Monitor activities, respond to emergencies, and provide first‑aid assistance until medical services arrive.
• Handle point‑of‑sale transactions for equipment rentals, activity fees, and retail sales.
• Support private events and group activities within recreation spaces.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of facilities, equipment, and supplies.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management.
• Deliver courteous service, assist guests with disabilities, and uphold company standards.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 25 lb unassisted (heavier items with help).
• Comfort working in varied environments, including wet, uneven, or elevated areas.
• Strong observational skills to identify safety hazards and respond appropriately.
• Excellent communication skills and professional telephone etiquette.

Required skills

• Operation of point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Basic computer proficiency for data entry and information retrieval.
