Recreation Associate

About the role

The Recreation Associate is the primary point of contact for guests seeking leisure activities at our resort. You will ensure a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience across all recreation facilities, from pools and beaches to fitness centers and child activity zones.

Key responsibilities

• Provide information about available recreation facilities and promote participation.
• Register, schedule, and encourage guests to join activities and events.
• Enforce safety rules and respond to emergencies according to local procedures.
• Handle point‑of‑sale transactions for equipment rentals, activity fees, and retail sales.
• Assist with private functions, group events, and special programs.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of all recreation areas and equipment.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management.
• Deliver courteous service to all guests, including those with disabilities.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Physical capability to stand, walk, lift (up to 25 lb unaided, heavier with assistance) and move in varied environments.
• Clear communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

Required skills

• Proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and basic computer operations.
• Ability to read and interpret signage, safety instructions, and equipment manuals.
