QA Engineer II – Automation for Banking Applications

About the role

The QA Engineer II will ensure quality and reliability of enterprise banking applications through a mix of manual and automated testing, covering backend processes, APIs, system integrations and data exchanges.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation frameworks for web, API, backend and integration testing.
• Execute functional, regression, integration and end‑to‑end tests for enterprise banking applications.
• Validate APIs, databases, backend services and event‑driven systems such as Kafka.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) for continuous testing.
• Identify, troubleshoot and track defects while collaborating with engineering and product teams.
• Create reusable automation assets to improve test coverage and execution efficiency.
• Monitor quality metrics and proactively flag testing risks.
• Contribute to performance, scalability and reliability testing.
• Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Adopt modern automation tools and AI‑assisted testing practices.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of software testing experience, preferably in banking, financial services or fintech.
• Strong expertise in designing, developing and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Hands‑on experience with UI test automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright or Cypress.
• Proficiency in API testing using Rest Assured or Postman.
• Solid SQL skills for database validation.
• Experience with CI/CD platforms like Azure DevOps, Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with performance testing and event‑driven systems (e.g., Kafka).
• Knowledge of cloud‑native environments, especially Azure and Kubernetes.
