QA Automation Engineer - Network and Distributed Systems

About the role

We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer with deep expertise in networking and distributed systems to design and implement automation that validates system behavior under real‑world stress, network chaos and large scale. The role sits at the intersection of quality, reliability and system‑level testing, working closely with infrastructure, Kubernetes and SRE teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build scalable automation frameworks for network, API, integration and system‑level validation.
• Develop failure‑injection and reliability tests for distributed workloads, including network latency, packet loss and partial failures.
• Integrate automated validation into CI/CD pipelines and reliability gates.
• Analyze failures using logs, metrics, traces and network signals, and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Collaborate with SRE, Platform and Backend teams to improve testability and observability.

Required profile

• Strong background in networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS) and distributed‑system concepts.
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, multi‑cluster environments and cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proven ability to build automation frameworks and system‑level tooling.

Required skills

• Programming in Python and Go (mandatory).
• Shell scripting and infrastructure automation.

• Cloud networking services: VPCs, load balancers, routing, IAM.
• Chaos/failure‑injection testing, CI/CD automation.
