Purchasing Manager

About the role

The company, a leading FMCG and food products provider in Punjab, is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead the procurement of essential raw materials and finished goods. The role involves managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely supply to support production and sales.

Key responsibilities

• Procure grains, cereals, pulses and other FMCG food products.
• Source, evaluate and manage vendors.
• Negotiate prices, terms and contracts.
• Coordinate inventory and supply planning.
• Prepare purchase documentation and ensure compliance.
• Reconcile vendor statements and handle purchase accounting in Zoho Books.
• Conduct cost analysis and monitor supplier performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of procurement experience in the FMCG or food industry.
• Strong negotiation and analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of inventory management and vendor development.
• Proficiency in English, Hindi and Punjabi.
