About the role
We are looking for a Purchasing Buyer specialized in maize commodities to join our procurement team. The role focuses on sourcing, purchasing and managing the supply chain for maize, ensuring timely delivery and optimal cost.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate maize suppliers, negotiate terms and contracts.
- Manage purchase orders, track deliveries and coordinate with warehouse operations.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and update inventory systems.
- Monitor market trends and price movements to provide actionable intelligence.
- Collaborate with logistics, quality and finance teams to ensure smooth transaction flow.
Required profile
- Proven experience in agricultural procurement, preferably with maize or similar commodities.
- Strong understanding of supply chain management and sourcing processes.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain precise documentation.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
