Purchase Host

About the role

We are looking for a Purchase Host to manage food inventory, orders and cost calculations for our hotel operations in Goa. The role ensures accurate record‑keeping, timely invoicing and compliance with food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate figures for food inventories, orders and costs.
• Maintain clear and organized records; file reports and invoices properly.
• Post invoices using computer programs.
• Conduct inventory audits to determine levels and needs.
• Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies.
• Notify manager of low stock levels.
• Verify and track received inventory; produce inventory reports and logs.
• Reconcile shipping invoices with receiving reports to ensure count accuracy.
• Receive, unload and process deliveries; refuse damaged or incorrect items.
• Troubleshoot vendor delivery issues and oversee returns.
• Adhere to food safety and handling policies across all food‑related areas.
• Monitor PAR levels for all food items.
• Report accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions; complete safety training.
• Follow company policies, maintain professional appearance and protect confidential information.
• Communicate clearly, answer phones with proper etiquette and prepare written documents accurately.
• Enter and locate work‑related information using computers and point of sale systems.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.
