About the role
Rexel India is seeking a Purchase Engineer to manage the procurement of C‑Class direct and indirect materials for its industrial automation, lighting and panel business. The role will support multiple sites across the country, ensuring timely and cost‑effective supply of goods and services.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and expand a reliable supplier database to execute RFQs efficiently.
- Build strong relationships with vendors to guarantee flawless material supply.
- Negotiate payment terms, lead times and costs to achieve cost savings.
- Resolve supply, quality, service and invoicing issues as they arise.
- Prepare MIS reports according to internal requirements.
- Implement internal sourcing strategies that deliver timely quotes and reduce expenses.
Required profile
- 5‑8 years of experience in procurement or material expediting.
- Diploma or equivalent degree.
- Proven negotiation skills and ability to manage supplier relationships.
