Purchase Accountant

About the role

You will join a design‑led, internationally operating manufacturing business that creates premium architectural products for global markets. The role focuses on strengthening purchase accounting and vendor finance controls, ensuring compliance, improving cost visibility, and building robust vendor systems.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the end‑to‑end purchase accounting cycle, validating purchase orders, goods receipt notes, invoices and ledger entries.
• Ensure timely booking of expenses, inventory reconciliation, and proper purchase cut‑offs.
• Reconcile vendor accounts monthly, review contracts for financial risk, and manage GST input credit and TDS compliance.
• Prepare purchase analytics, cost reports and support monthly, quarterly and annual financial closures.
• Liaise with statutory and internal auditors, maintain documentation readiness and strengthen SOPs.
• Enhance ERP utilisation for purchase modules, automate reconciliations and design scalable controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in purchase accounting, vendor reconciliation or accounts payable.
• Strong understanding of GST, TDS and other statutory compliance requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency in ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of GST and TDS compliance.
