Public Relations Officer

About the role

The Public Relations Officer will shape and protect the institute’s public image, fostering strong connections with media, students, parents, and the broader community. The role also supports admissions by handling enquiries and delivering accurate information to prospective students and their families.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and strengthen the college’s public image through effective communication.
• Build and maintain relationships with media and external contacts.
• Create and share content about college achievements, events, and initiatives.
• Handle admissions‑related enquiries via calls, walk‑ins, email and social media.
• Provide clear, accurate information to prospective students and parents.
• Ensure quick, organized, and consistent follow‑up on all enquiries.
• Support and promote college events, seminars, workshops, and festivals.
• Coordinate with admissions and management teams for outreach activities.
• Maintain and improve enquiry tracking and response processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Mass Communication, Marketing, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the education sector.
• Willingness to relocate.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Comfortable interacting with students, parents, and media.
• Organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple tasks.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of social media and digital communication.
