Public Relations Executive – Pharma & Healthcare

About the role

As a Public Relations Executive for the Pharma and Healthcare team at Burson, you will support the delivery of integrated communications programmes that enhance client reputation and drive business growth. Working closely with senior colleagues, you will help shape media and influencer strategies, produce client‑facing materials, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Support the execution of integrated communications strategies and campaigns for pharma and healthcare clients.
• Develop press releases, messaging documents, reports and presentations for client use.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers and key stakeholders.
• Monitor industry trends, news and social‑media opportunities relevant to client sectors.
• Manage account deliverables, timelines and budget requirements.
• Conduct research and provide insights to inform client programmes and new‑business pitches.
• Assist in team coordination, training and knowledge‑sharing initiatives.
• Leverage Generative AI tools for research, planning, content creation and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of public relations and integrated communications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in media relations and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Strong research, analytical and reporting capabilities.
• Familiarity with social‑media trends and influencer engagement.
• Collaborative mindset with strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Working knowledge of Generative AI tools and their application in communications.
