Public Relations Account Executive

About the role

The Public Relations Account Executive will support Mercom India and its global parent, Mercom Capital Group, in delivering PR services to clean‑energy and financial clients. Working from our Bengaluru office, you will collaborate with Europe and U.S. account teams to produce media coverage, client reports and campaign assets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide PR support for Mercom India and its parent company, Mercom Capital Group.
• Assist day‑to‑day activities of the Europe and U.S. client account team.
• Develop regular client reports, including media coverage and quarterly activity reports.
• Create and maintain master conference and award lists.
• Research, create, and maintain media lists.
• Coordinate media and research requests between the U.S. account team and the research team.
• Manage in‑house design coordination between the U.S. client account team and graphic designers.
• Monitor media, analysts and social media accounts to report coverage affecting clients and deliver regular updates to management.
• Research and monitor industry trends that impact clients, quickly grasping new technologies and sectors.
• Assist with event management for Mercom trade shows and handle media/analyst inquiries.
• Develop press releases, media pitches, marketing content, and email campaign copy for Mercom products and services.

Required profile

• Proficiency in public‑relations strategy development, media relations and campaign management.
• Strong writing, copy‑editing and proofreading abilities.
• Experience pitching stories, managing press releases and coordinating events.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for building relationships with clients and media.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, on‑site environment in Bengaluru.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or a related field.
• Prior experience in the clean‑energy or renewable‑energy sector is a plus.
