Project Manager – R&D (Chemistry)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Project Manager with a strong chemistry background to support our R&D operations. You will act as the bridge between the R&D team and business units, ensuring clear communication, timely updates, and efficient execution of projects across our pan‑India sites.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for project‑related updates between R&D and business teams.
• Track project progress, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring tasks stay on schedule.
• Gather status updates on research activities and flag any delays.
• Coordinate material requirements, verify availability, and follow up on procurement.
• Maintain project documentation, data sheets, reports, and Excel trackers.
• Facilitate internal communication to keep all stakeholders aligned on goals.
• Visit R&D sites periodically to review progress and collect updates.
• Support R&D managers with planning, resource allocation, and execution.
• Ensure compliance with internal processes and safety standards for chemical handling.

Required profile

• B.Sc or M.Sc in Chemistry (mandatory).
• 5+ years of experience in an R&D or chemical‑industry environment.
• Strong understanding of chemicals, laboratory workflows, and R&D processes.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
• Flexibility to travel as needed.

Required skills

• Chemistry knowledge.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting and data management.
