Project Manager – ITSM & Release Management

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead ITSM and release management initiatives across our Bangalore office. The role involves overseeing complex IT systems, coordinating upgrades, and driving agile delivery for cloud and on‑premise solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical assessments and configuration for ITSM/ITOM platforms, ensuring upgradability and performance.
• Manage ServiceNow upgrade cycles, including impact analysis, cloning, backups, and stakeholder coordination.
• Define and validate release management processes in alignment with PSL Release Manager and ART Trio.
• Provide release support for application, infrastructure, and configuration deployments.
• Drive agile practices (Scrum/Kanban) within cross‑functional teams and ensure CI/CD pipeline efficiency.
• Oversee maintenance, operations, and complex stakeholder management for IT projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or related field.
• 7‑10 years of overall experience with at least 5 years in release management and ITSM modules.
• 5+ years of project management experience across the full SDLC, including planning, scoping, execution, and KPI tracking.
• Proven experience managing cloud (AWS, GCP) and on‑premise solutions, and leading multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes (minimum Foundation certification) and Agile methodologies.

• ServiceNow, Jira, Rally, VersionOne or similar agile tools.
• Automated release tools such as XL Release or UrbanCode Release.
• CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Maven, Nexus, Artifactory, GitHub.
• Container and orchestration: Docker, Ansible.
• Monitoring and logging: Splunk, ElasticSearch.
• Programming: JavaScript, Java, XML, Python, JSON, Angular.js.
• Databases: relational databases (SQL).
• Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP.
• Operating systems: Linux.
