Project Manager – Civil Construction

About the role

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced, results‑driven Project Manager – Civil to lead end‑to‑end execution of civil construction projects in Kolkata. The role involves planning, resource management, quality control, budget adherence, stakeholder coordination and timely delivery while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead civil construction projects from inception through completion, preparing execution plans, schedules, budgets and resource allocations.
• Monitor progress against timelines, quality standards and cost targets, and take corrective actions as needed.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, vendors and internal stakeholders; review engineering drawings, BOQs, specifications and technical documents.
• Manage site activities including construction, procurement, subcontractor management and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, safety norms and quality standards.
• Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies and conduct regular site inspections and review meetings.
• Track project costs, optimise resource utilisation and resolve technical or operational challenges.
• Prepare and present status reports to senior management and oversee smooth handover and closure documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech Civil).
• Master's degree in Construction Management or Project Management is an advantage.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
