Project Assistant – Humanitarian Child Support

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate Project Assistant to support children in a humanitarian setting, fostering trust and holistic development.

Key responsibilities

• Reach out to children and create a relationship of mutual trust.
• Facilitate the holistic development of children – physical, mental, and intellectual.
• Attend to health, sickness, diet, sanitation and cleanliness matters.
• Assist with homework and organize an engaging education curriculum.
• Ensure discipline and a peaceful atmosphere in the hostel.
• Address medical, social and personal emergencies of all children.
• Accompany children to the hospital when needed.
• Identify children needing psychological support and arrange counselling sessions.
• Assist in necessary documentation and office work.
• Conduct Child Committee Meetings and use technology to teach fundamental concepts.

Required profile

• B2 level English proficiency.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work independently.
• 0–2 years of experience in an administrative or assistant role.
• Relevant education such as B.Ed (preferable) or MSW/BSW.
