Project Accountant – Construction / Infrastructure

About the role

Royal Infraconstru Limited is seeking a Project Accountant for its head office in Kolkata. The role involves maintaining accurate project accounts, ensuring GST and TDS compliance, and preparing monthly balance sheets and cost reports for construction and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Handle day‑to‑day accounting entries in the ERP system, verifying purchase, expense, payment and journal postings.
• Ensure correct TDS deduction, reconcile TDS ledgers and assist in TDS return preparation.
• Validate GST input and output entries, reconcile GST accounts and support GST return data preparation.
• Prepare monthly balance sheets, supporting schedules and reconciliations for each project.
• Perform vendor, TDS and project‑advance reconciliations, resolving differences promptly.
• Allocate expenses to the appropriate project, job and cost head, and produce project‑wise and BOQ‑wise costing reports.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience in accounts, preferably in construction, infrastructure or EPC firms.
• Strong knowledge of accounting entries, ledger scrutiny and monthly balance‑sheet preparation.
• Practical understanding of TDS sections, GST rates and related compliance.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced MS Excel for large data sets and MIS reporting.
