Production Technician – Refinery Operations

About the role

The Production Technician will operate and monitor key refinery equipment at Bunge's plant in Rajpura, ensuring safe, efficient and high‑quality production of edible oils and related products.

Key responsibilities

• Operate churn‑cum‑blending, short‑mix, bleacher, autoclave, deodorization, fractionation and acid‑oil units according to SOPs.
• Perform pre‑operation checks, start‑up procedures and preventive maintenance.
• Monitor plant parameters, maintain log‑books and act to minimise unplanned stoppages.
• Maintain cleanliness and 5S standards in the churn and blending areas.
• Supervise and guide contractual manpower deployed in the section.
• Control quality parameters and minimise waste within defined standards.
• Participate in workshops and training sessions and apply learnings on the shop floor.

Required profile

• ITI qualification in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• Minimum five years of experience in edible‑oil or FMCG manufacturing.
• Strong safety mindset covering food safety, chemical safety and GMP compliance.
• Ability to collaborate, communicate effectively and take initiative.

Required skills

• Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of refinery machinery.
• GMP, food safety and chemical safety procedures.
