Production Supervisor (M/F/D)

About the role

Valeo is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a manufacturing team in a high‑technology automotive environment. The role focuses on people management, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and driving continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Induct and train new operators, including temporary staff, and manage ongoing skill development plans.
• Monitor attendance, holidays, safety compliance, and update performance boards daily.
• Enforce standard work times, breaks, and ensure operators follow prescribed procedures.
• Conduct monthly performance reviews, annual appraisals, salary reviews and career interviews.
• Maintain and update work instructions, ensure TPM, 5S and lean standards are applied, and lead first‑level preventive maintenance.
• Track equipment performance, cycle times and micro‑stoppages, and implement corrective actions.
• Propose weekly headcount and organization plans to meet Master Production Schedule targets.
• Ensure production output meets SQCDM and inventory goals while maintaining a safe work environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising production teams in an automotive or similar manufacturing setting.
• Strong ability to enforce safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Excellent communication skills for coaching, performance feedback and cross‑functional coordination.
• Capability to analyse flexibility needs and develop training plans that enhance team autonomy.
