Production Supervisor / Front Line Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Production Supervisor / Front Line Manager to lead a team of operators and trainees in our hydraulic brake system plant in Kurli. You will be responsible for ensuring on‑time order fulfilment, maintaining production quality and driving continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of operators/trainees to meet KPI targets and fulfill customer orders in the assigned production area.
• Plan and execute shifts, ensure adherence to control plans, SOPs, work instructions and timely material supply.
• Track manpower, deploy operators, provide on‑job training and maintain skill matrices and training records.
• Manage line start‑up, set‑up changes and achieve production volume while ensuring product quality and proper documentation.
• Identify and implement safety, quality and productivity improvement projects, including OEE and IDC rejection projects.
• Apply BPS concepts on the shop floor as directed by industrial engineering.
• Conduct daily rejection analysis, drive corrective and preventive actions and update deviation boards.
• Maintain a positive work environment, motivate the team and address grievances.
• Ensure 5S, health, safety and quality compliance on the shop floor.
• Troubleshoot machines, handle type change‑overs and enforce standardized work.
• Perform tool changes, oversee burr cleaning, autonomous maintenance, LPC and participate in Kaizen activities.
• Provide training, maintain skill matrices and plan operator skill development.

Required profile

• Graduate Engineer in Automobile, Production or a related discipline.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment supervising operators or trainees.
• Strong understanding of production planning, shift management and quality documentation.
