Production Operator

About the role

The Production Operator works as an individual contributor on the shop floor, performing machine setup, calibration and operation under limited supervision. The role ensures that production runs smoothly, meets quality standards and follows the established schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate and operate various machines and equipment according to production plans.
• Follow production schedules and maintain strict quality standards.
• Monitor production processes, record data and identify deviations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on the product line to minimise rejects.
• Collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to ensure optimal equipment performance.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma or equivalent (approximately 12 years of schooling).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to understand specific production requirements and apply relevant knowledge.

Required skills
