Production Manager / Machine Shop Supervisor (CNC Machining)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager / Machine Shop Supervisor to lead our CNC machining operations. You will be responsible for driving production efficiency, meeting delivery commitments, and ensuring high quality standards on the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day CNC machine shop production and achieve planned targets.
• Oversee VMC, HMC, VTL, CNC turning and other machining operations.
• Plan manpower, machines, tools, fixtures and production activities.
• Monitor output, machine utilization, OEE, rejection, rework and downtime.
• Ensure production follows drawings, process sheets, quality standards and customer requirements.
• Coordinate with PPC, Quality, Maintenance, Stores and other departments.
• Identify bottlenecks, implement corrective actions and control scrap/rework.
• Drive 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, TPM and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Guide, develop and supervise machine operators and shift supervisors.
• Prepare daily production reports and present status to management.

Required profile

• Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 5–12 years of experience in CNC machining or machine‑shop production.
• Strong hands‑on experience with VMC, HMC, VTL and CNC turning.
• Experience in automotive, precision engineering or similar industries preferred.
• Good knowledge of production planning, manpower management and productivity improvement.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand machining processes.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving and team‑management skills.
