Production Manager

About the role

Papa John's is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead its dough manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for ensuring product quality, safety, and productivity while fostering a high‑performing team in a fast‑paced food production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all dough production and sanitation processes to guarantee consistent product quality.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team within an automated food manufacturing and distribution setting.
• Drive safety awareness and performance across the department and the entire facility.
• Participate as a core member of the Center Leadership Team, aligning departmental goals with company objectives.
• Manage major projects, coordinate with external contractors, and control labor costs through effective scheduling.
• Maintain productivity by implementing continuous‑improvement methodologies and tracking key performance indicators.
• Develop and manage the department budget, including capital project estimates and payroll.
• Coordinate contingency plans to minimize downtime during equipment failures and provide out‑of‑hours support when needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; college education or business management training preferred.
• Minimum five years of progressive management experience in food production.
• Working knowledge of local and state regulations and audit requirements.
• Strong analytical, planning, and financial acumen.
• Proven ability to solve problems, improve processes, and influence senior leaders.
• Comfortable working in a challenging, fast‑paced environment and adapting to new situations.
