Product Platform Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Product Platform Engineer to design, build, and evolve the core platform, APIs, and data pipelines that power modern digital products. The role sits at the intersection of IoT integration and application development, working closely with application, IoT, and cloud engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain shared platform services and micro‑services used across multiple products.
• Build and evolve platform APIs that enable application teams to consume core capabilities.
• Create and support data planes that move telemetry and operational data from ingestion layers to downstream applications.
• Contribute to IoT and telemetry integration, including processing, normalization, and exposure of data.
• Develop backend services using TypeScript and Python, packaged as Docker containers.
• Collaborate with cloud engineers on AWS environment integration, deployment practices, and operational concerns.
• Implement observability, diagnostics, and monitoring for platform services and data flows.
• Document platform standards, data contracts, and reusable components.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4‑7 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong systems thinking and ability to design platform abstractions for scalability.
