Product Owner – Data Products

About the role

The Product Owner for Data Products will lead the evolution of BASF's Enterprise Data Lake platform. Based in the Digital Hub Hyderabad, you will work with a cross‑functional team to deliver scalable, reliable and secure data services that enable data‑driven decisions across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the development and continuous improvement of the data product layer on Azure and Databricks.
• Gather, prioritize and translate stakeholder requirements into actionable product backlogs.
• Ensure platform scalability, reliability and security in collaboration with global and local teams.
• Monitor emerging big‑data and data‑mesh technologies and incorporate relevant innovations.
• Act as the primary point of contact for data product inquiries and support.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on delivering high‑quality data solutions.
• Excellent communication skills to align diverse stakeholder groups.
• Proven ability to work in an agile environment and manage product backlogs.
• Experience collaborating with engineering and operations teams on cloud‑based data platforms.
