Product Merchandiser – Fashion Brand

About the role

A growing fashion brand based in Ludhiana is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Fashion Designer / Product Merchandiser. The ideal candidate has experience in apparel design, product development, sourcing and merchandising, and coordinates with production teams to deliver collections on time. The work is full time and in person.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop seasonal apparel collections aligned with brand requirements.
• Create design concepts, mood boards, sketches and tech packs.
• Research fashion trends, fabrics, trims, colours and market demands.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers and production teams for sampling and bulk production.
• Manage product development from concept to final production, monitor sample approvals and quality standards, and track production timelines and delivery schedules.
• Assist in fabric sourcing, costing and product planning.
• Maintain product catalogs, specifications and merchandising records.
• Work with marketing and sales teams on product launches.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Fashion Design, Apparel Design or a related field.
• 1-5 years of experience in fashion designing, merchandising or product development.
• Knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, trims and production processes.
• Experience working with apparel manufacturers and vendors.
• Preferred: experience with women's wear, men's wear, ethnic wear, western wear or fashion accessories, and prior experience in a fashion brand or garment manufacturing company.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW or similar design software.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple collections and deadlines at once.

Pay is stated as 25,000 to 30,000 rupees per month. Applicants are asked about their current location, years of experience, prior brand/manufacturing experience, current and expected salary and notice period.
