Product Manager, Monetization & Retention

About the role

Sarvam is building India’s sovereign AI platform and needs a Product Manager to own the full monetization stack. You will shape pricing, billing, and retention strategies to turn one‑time users into repeat payers and grow long‑term revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Design pricing architecture, create tiers, run experiments, and decide free vs metered features.
• Own metering, billing, invoicing, and expiry logic; work with engineering on wallet, coupons, GST, Razorpay/UPI flows, and renewal mechanics.
• Develop retention playbooks, diagnose drop‑offs, and ship in‑product and off‑product interventions to reduce churn.
• Craft distinct strategies for first‑time payer conversion and repeat purchase growth.
• Build loyalty and affiliate programs to boost LTV.

Required profile

• 5+ years of product management experience, with 2‑3 years focused on monetization, subscriptions, or growth at a startup.
• Proven track record of shipping pricing changes and measuring outcomes.
• Deep knowledge of metering, billing, plans, pricing, subscriptions, expiry, and coupons.
• Demonstrated success reducing churn with specific cohort‑based interventions.
• Strong analytical mindset with hands‑on SQL experience.
