Product Manager / Group Manager – PLM Operations Services

About the role
Airbus is seeking a senior Product Manager / Group Manager to lead PLM Operations Services within its Engineering IT Solutions Department in Bangalore. The role combines software engineering leadership, IT service management, and strategic oversight of bespoke engineering applications.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and develop a high‑performing PLM software engineering and operations team.
- Define staffing strategy, manage direct hires and supplier relationships.
- Ensure high‑availability IT service operations, meet SLA targets and deliver agile software releases on schedule.
- Implement ITIL/ITSM best practices, drive cloud‑native architecture migration on AWS.
- Coordinate with European partners, including occasional travel to Europe.
Required profile
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related engineering discipline.
- 10+ years of industry experience, with at least 6 years in software development and 5 years in IT operations/maintenance.
- Proven disciplinary leadership and team‑management experience.
- Professional background in the aerospace industry and deep PLM domain knowledge.
- ITIL Foundation certification and solid ITSM knowledge.
- Business‑fluent English; German is a plus.
