Process Operator L3 – Manufacturing

About the role

The Process Operator L3 is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting assigned production equipment in a food‑processing environment. The role ensures that all processes run safely, efficiently, and in compliance with food‑safety standards while meeting daily production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all safety, compliance, HACCP, GMP and GHP policies and the company’s C.A.R.E program.
• Execute daily production plans, monitor equipment performance, and optimise yield within product specifications.
• Clean and sanitize equipment after breakdowns or SKU changes, and manage material removal according to SOPs.
• Collect samples, perform quality‑control tests, and control process parameters to achieve required product specifications.
• Report quality issues to the Process Area Leader and implement corrective actions.
• Manage edible‑oil inventory and ensure specifications are met.
• Carry out pre‑start‑up activities, CIP procedures, and support smooth plant start‑up.
• Prepare batches, operate dry‑ingredient blending, mixing, battering, forming and coating equipment for specialty products.
• Control and record process waste, investigate excess waste, and maintain waste logs.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives to reduce defects, lower costs and improve overall process efficiency.

Required profile

• Commitment to safety, food‑safety standards (HACCP, GMP, GHP) and sustainability goals.
• Ability to follow detailed SOPs and work within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail for sample collection, testing and waste management.
• Proactive attitude for reporting issues and implementing corrective actions.

Required skills

• Equipment operation and troubleshooting.
• Process parameter monitoring and control.
• Quality‑control testing (e.g., colour, SAPP concentration, free fatty acid, texture, sugar levels).
• CIP (clean‑in‑place) procedures.
• Dry‑ingredient blending, mixing, battering, forming and coating operations.
