Principal Solution Architect

About the role

Sarvam is looking for a Principal Solution Architect to act as the senior technical advisor for its most strategic enterprise and government accounts. You will own the pre‑sales motion, ensuring high‑quality demos, compelling proposals and fast deal progression while bridging sales, product and delivery teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end pre‑sales activities from technical qualification to commercial proposal and support for deal closure.
• Own the most complex, high‑value pre‑sales engagements across enterprise and public sector customers.
• Build the pre‑sales playbook from scratch, including demo frameworks, proposal templates, objection‑handling guides and RFP processes.
• Partner with GTM leadership on deal strategy, pricing and go/no‑go decisions for large opportunities.
• Collaborate with product, engineering and FDSE teams to ensure solutions are technically sound, deliverable and aligned with the product roadmap.
• Represent Sarvam’s technical capabilities in CXO‑level and procurement conversations.
• Define and track pre‑sales metrics such as pipeline coverage, technical win rates and time‑to‑proposal.
• Recruit, mentor and scale a high‑performing pre‑sales team as the function grows.

Required profile

• 5‑15 years of experience in pre‑sales, solutions engineering or technical sales for enterprise B2B technology.
• Proven track record leading complex, multi‑stakeholder deals (typically INR 1 Cr+).
• Strong commercial instinct with understanding of deal economics and pricing.
• Comfort operating in a fast‑moving startup where you create structure.
• Ability to translate technical capabilities into business outcomes for senior decision‑makers.
