Principal Software Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the design and development of scalable full‑stack products for a fast‑growing B2B SaaS platform. You will mentor a high‑performing engineering team, drive AI‑first development practices, and shape the technical strategy of the product.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable full‑stack applications.
• Lead architecture decisions, technical design, and enforce engineering best practices.
• Develop modern frontend experiences using React.js.
• Build robust backend services with Node.js and Python.
• Promote AI‑assisted development tools to boost engineering productivity.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and career development.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Business teams to deliver customer‑focused solutions.
• Manage technical priorities, stakeholder expectations, and project delivery timelines.
• Continuously improve application performance, reliability, and scalability.

Required profile

• 7–8 years of software engineering experience, currently in a product‑based company.
• Strong hands‑on experience in both frontend and backend development.
• Experience in a B2B SaaS environment is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Startup experience is a plus.
