Principal Analyst – Compliance (Bangalore)

About the role

The Principal Analyst – Compliance will ensure Zonal compliance and manage stakeholder relationships across GCC, zonal, and global internal control teams. The role drives implementation and standardisation of controls, policies and DAG, oversees governance, demand management and delivers compliance proposals while mitigating potential gaps.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure zones complete timely self‑assessment of Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) and DAG with high quality.
• Analyse trends, identify gaps and work with stakeholders to develop and implement mitigation plans.
• Drive a continuous compliance culture, monitor gaps and ensure they are closed promptly.
• Oversee SOX management testing, control testing and obtain clean audit opinions.
• Lead compliance for RPA (Bots, MiniBots) and champion automation opportunities in control processes.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant or equivalent professional qualification.
• 3‑6 years experience in SOX, internal audit or statutory audit in a consulting or corporate environment.
• Proficient English with strong interpersonal skills.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP and functional data analytics is highly preferred.

Required skills

• SAP working knowledge.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint presentation skills.
• Experience with RPA tools (Bots, MiniBots) and end‑user computing files.
• SOX management testing and control testing expertise.
• Data analytics capabilities.
