PR Specialist – Entertainment Public Relations

About the role

Amazon Prime Video is seeking an experienced entertainment public‑relations professional to lead publicity campaigns for its growing slate of original, exclusive, and licensed content in India. Based in Mumbai and reporting to the Head of Communications for Prime Video India, you will drive earned‑media coverage and shape the conversation around Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios titles.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute PR campaigns for locally produced Amazon Originals, licensed titles, and select global series.
• Draft press materials such as releases, media alerts, talking points, Q&As, and briefing documents.
• Proactively pitch stories to news and digital outlets to secure high‑impact coverage.
• Plan and manage publicity events, including premieres, junkets, set visits, talent interviews, and other media‑facing activations.
• Coordinate logistics with talent teams, production partners, and talent representatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant journalists and media outlets.
• Conduct proactive and reactive media outreach to generate meaningful coverage.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in entertainment or media public relations, preferably within the Indian market.
• Exceptional judgment, concise communication, and the ability to work quickly under tight deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple workstreams without losing detail.
• Deep understanding of India’s entertainment and media landscape, including key stories and journalist contacts.
• Willingness to roll up sleeves and handle tasks beyond the core remit when needed.
