Powerplant Performance Engineer

About the role
Join the Powerplant Performance team in Airbus’s Design Office in Bangalore, working within the Propulsion Performance and Thermal Management domain to drive innovation and shape the future of aircraft propulsion.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and integrate engine performance models with air‑frame systems.
- Conduct comprehensive performance analysis and sizing of propulsion systems across all flight phases.
- Analyze key gas‑turbine parameters such as thrust and fuel consumption and troubleshoot engine data.
- Ensure engine compliance with performance and certification requirements and support flight‑test data analysis.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience with data analysis and gas‑turbine modelling is a plus.
- Strong teamwork, communication, problem‑solving orientation and willingness to learn.
- Awareness of compliance risks and commitment to act with integrity.
Required skills
- Gas Turbine Engine Performance and Cycles.
- Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics.
- Programming in MATLAB.
- Programming in Python.
