Plumbing & Firefighting Estimation Engineer

About the role

SLP GROUP is looking for a motivated Plumbing & Firefighting Estimation Engineer to join its MEP team in India. You will be responsible for producing accurate cost estimates for plumbing, drainage and fire‑fighting systems across a variety of commercial, hospitality and industrial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare precise cost estimates for plumbing, drainage and fire‑fighting systems using drawings, specifications, BOQs and tender documents.
• Analyse PHE and fire‑fighting drawings to determine scope, quantities and system requirements.
• Generate detailed BOQs, material take‑offs and cost breakdowns for all related systems.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain technical and commercial quotations and conduct comparative evaluations.
• Identify cost‑optimization and value‑engineering opportunities while ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Support tender submissions, including preparing assumptions, exclusions, clarifications and participating in pre‑bid and post‑bid discussions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in plumbing and fire‑fighting estimation for commercial, residential, hospitality or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of applicable codes (NFPA, NBC, local standards) and system materials.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with estimation tools and accurate interpretation of MEP drawings.
