Plumbing & Fire Protection Design Engineer

About the role

F5 Global Talent is seeking an experienced Plumbing & Fire Protection Design Engineer to lead the design of plumbing and fire‑protection systems for U.S. residential and commercial projects. The role is fully remote and works U.S. business hours, allowing candidates in India or the Philippines to contribute to complete engineering deliverables from concept through construction documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop complete plumbing and fire‑protection designs, including domestic water, sanitary, stormwater, rain‑water harvesting, sewage‑ejector, fire sprinkler, hydrant and fire‑pump systems.
• Perform water‑demand, tank‑sizing, pipe‑sizing and hydraulic calculations for both plumbing and fire‑protection networks.
• Create detailed layouts, schematics and 3D models using AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• Coordinate BIM models, resolve multidisciplinary clashes in BIM 360 and produce BOQs and material take‑offs.
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable U.S. codes and project specifications.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on plumbing/PHE and fire‑protection design experience.
• Proven ability to perform engineering calculations and make design decisions independently.
• Strong written and spoken English and availability to work U.S. business hours.
