Plant Manager – RMC Plant Operations

About the role

The Plant Manager will lead the day‑to‑day operations of Avant Group’s Ready‑Mix Concrete (RMC) plant in Jogeshwari. The role ensures that concrete production meets project requirements, quality standards and delivery schedules while maintaining safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the RMC plant to achieve planned production targets.
• Plan concrete production and dispatch according to project and site needs.
• Ensure concrete is produced per approved mix designs and quality standards.
• Monitor and control raw material inventories (cement, aggregates, admixtures, fly ash/GGBS, water).
• Coordinate timely procurement of raw materials with Procurement/Stores.
• Oversee batching plant operations, guaranteeing accurate batching and mixing.
• Collaborate with Site, Planning, Quality, Procurement, Stores, and Transport teams for smooth workflow.
• Schedule and monitor concrete dispatch to ensure on‑time delivery.
• Coordinate raw material and concrete testing with the QA/QC team.
• Track plant productivity, material consumption, wastage and production costs.
• Implement preventive and breakdown maintenance for plant equipment.
• Supervise plant operators, technicians, drivers and allocate manpower/shifts as required.
• Enforce safety procedures and statutory compliance at the plant.
• Maintain comprehensive operational records (production, dispatch, consumption, maintenance).
• Analyze production performance reports and drive corrective actions.
• Manage vendor and service provider relationships for maintenance and equipment issues.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and environmental practices within the plant premises.
• Monitor calibration of batching, weighing and testing equipment.
