Plant Finance Manager

About the role

The Plant Finance Manager will lead all financial activities at the Goa manufacturing plant, ensuring robust financial control, budgeting, costing, and capital expenditure management. This position requires strong analytical abilities, leadership, and deep knowledge of manufacturing finance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee plant‑level financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly/quarterly/annual reporting with variance analysis.
• Maintain SKU‑level standard costing, new product costing, and periodic review of finished‑goods costing.
• Drive plant conversion cost tracking, expense management, and savings initiatives.
• Support strategic decisions through financial modelling, NPV, and payback analysis.
• Manage working capital, inventory controls, payables, GRIR, vendor advances, CWIP ageing, and idle assets.
• Ensure compliance with PPRs, SOX controls, industry regulations, GST, and other statutory requirements.
• Participate in the plant leadership team and advise the Director of Manufacturing.
• Oversee fixed‑asset management, capex budgeting, CWIP ageing, capitalisation, tagging, retirement, and post‑implementation evaluations.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant with a strong costing background.
• Minimum 6 years of finance experience, preferably in manufacturing or plant finance.
• Proven expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and standard costing.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP FI & CO modules; SAP S/4HANA knowledge is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
• Effective communication of financial information to non‑financial stakeholders.
