Plant Cost Controller

About the role

The Plant Cost Controller will support the Bhopal dairy plant by driving budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis. Working closely with operational managers, you will ensure financial data is accurate, actionable, and aligned with the plant’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with operational management to develop and maintain annual budgets.
• Prepare provisional results, load them into the controlling tool, and perform variance analysis against budget and prior year.
• Assist the accounting team during month‑end close, presenting and explaining financial outcomes.
• Develop forecasts, challenge data for reliability, and propose corrective action plans.
• Drive performance indicators, conduct ad‑hoc analyses, and support cash‑management activities.
• Work cross‑functionally to share financial insights and help managers use financial tools for decision‑making.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in costing, variance analysis, budget preparation, or process improvement.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to adapt to changing work environments.
• Intellectual curiosity and openness to new ideas.
• Leadership and communication skills in English, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to plant locations (at least 30% of working time).

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP (knowledge preferred).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Expertise in costing, variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
