Planning & Logistics Manager

About the role

The Planning & Logistics Manager will lead procurement and vendor management activities to ensure a reliable supply of packaging materials at competitive prices. This role works closely with global procurement, legal, and internal stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Frame RFQs in line with strategy to secure competitive pricing.
• Ensure strict adherence to procurement policies and obtain necessary approvals.
• Develop end‑to‑end auction strategies for packaging material procurement.
• Coordinate with the Global Procurement team to close decisions on time.
• Manage vendors to guarantee supplies at contracted prices and monitor market trends for cost drivers.
• Allocate business to vendors based on least‑cost combinations and maintain a dashboard of allocations versus contracts.
• Oversee the Procure‑to‑Pay cycle, resolve supply issues, and coordinate contract sign‑offs with Legal.
• Upload rates, sources, and quotas in SAP as per approved documents.
• Develop annual budgets, control prices, and review production plans to provide vendors with inventory projections.
• Organise inbound logistics for raw material movement and scout new vendors to meet capacity needs.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of procurement policies and procedures.
• Experience in vendor management and contract administration.
• Ability to analyse market trends and cost drivers.
• Proficiency in budgeting and financial control.
• Excellent coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders.
