Inventory Controller

About the role

The Inventory Controller is responsible for maintaining optimal stock levels across all branches, ensuring that fast‑moving SKUs are always available. You will work closely with logistics and buying teams to coordinate inter‑branch transfers and resolve stock shortages.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels for the top 600 fast‑moving SKUs across all branches.
• Initiate and coordinate Inter‑Branch Transfer (IBT) requests to balance stock between locations.
• Collaborate with the Logistics Manager to ensure timely and efficient stock movements.
• Use the Flow Management System (FMS) to collect, analyse, and document stock data and transfer activities.
• Report daily SKU shortages to the buying team until replenishment is achieved.
• Notify the Inventory Auditor of any discrepancies and ensure correct stock adjustment entries are made.
• Focus on increasing fill rates for each branch to meet KPI targets.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large data sets.
• Experience in inventory monitoring and inter‑branch logistics coordination.
• Proactive communication skills to liaise with multiple branches and internal teams.
• Ability to follow up on transfer requests and ensure completion.
