Piping Designer – Autodesk Plant 3D Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Piping Designer to independently develop plant layouts, 3D piping models, and detailed engineering drawings for water and wastewater treatment facilities. The role involves using Autodesk Plant 3D and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver clash‑free, efficient designs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop equipment layouts, pipe rack plans, access roads, drainage, firefighting systems, and storage areas for water treatment and thermal facilities.
• Create hydraulic flow diagrams for gravity structures and civil outline drawings for treatment plants.
• Manage Autodesk Plant 3D projects, catalogs, specifications, and generate custom parametric components.
• Produce 3D models of equipment, skids, piping, civil structures, cable trays, and instrumentation.
• Extract engineering documentation such as Piping GA, Skid GA, Pipe Support GA, isometrics, and material take‑off reports.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, and process teams to ensure clash‑free designs and resolve fabrication or installation issues on site.

Required profile

• 6–15 years of piping design or plant layout experience in water treatment, process plants, or EPC projects.
• Strong expertise in Autodesk Plant 3D for 3D modelling, piping layouts, and engineering drawing production.
• Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and resolve design issues during fabrication and commissioning.

Required skills

• Autodesk Plant 3D (3D modelling, custom component creation, catalog management).
• Preparation of Piping General Arrangement drawings, isometrics, and material take‑off reports.
