Pharmacy Head – Hospital Operations Lead

About the role

The Hospital is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Head to lead pharmacy operations across two locations in Mumbai. This senior role combines clinical pharmacy expertise with supply‑chain management to ensure seamless medication availability and optimal operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee pharmacy operations across both hospitals and manage day‑to‑day activities.
• Lead pharmacy teams, ensuring high performance and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Maintain smooth availability and supply of medicines and pharmacy items.
• Manage procurement, inventory, stock levels and supply‑chain processes.
• Coordinate purchase planning, vendor relations and stock movement.
• Ensure proper documentation, storage, and inventory controls.
• Collaborate with doctors, nursing staff, hospital administration and other departments.
• Monitor pharmacy processes, operational efficiency and compliance requirements.
• Develop and implement standard processes for pharmacy and supply‑chain management.
• Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and inventory management.
• Prepare and review operational reports for senior management.

Required profile

• B.Pharm or M.Pharm with a full‑time MBA in Supply Chain Management or MHA.
• 12+ years of total experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong hospital pharmacy experience is mandatory.
• Demonstrated leadership, team‑management and vendor‑management capabilities.
• Excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations and supply‑chain management.
• Willingness to manage pharmacy functions across both hospital locations.
