Pharmacist – Clinical Pharmacy Role in Chennai

About the role

The Pharmacist will work on‑site at the client location in Chennai, dispensing medications accurately, verifying prescriptions and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards. You will counsel patients on proper medication use, side effects and interactions while maintaining detailed records for prescriptions, inventory and controlled substances.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense medications and verify prescriptions with precision.
• Counsel patients on dosage, side effects, and drug interactions.
• Maintain accurate records for prescriptions, inventory, and controlled substances.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals to optimise medication therapy.
• Oversee stock management and participate in quality‑assurance activities.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, local regulations and medication‑safety protocols.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• Valid Pharmacist licence/registration in India and enrollment with the Pharmacy Council.
• Strong clinical pharmacy knowledge, including pharmacology and dosage calculations.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced environment.
• Commitment to continuous learning and patient‑centred care.
