People Generalist

About the role

The People Generalist supports the full people agenda for H&M Group, ensuring smooth recruitment, onboarding, development and engagement across business units. You will act as a trusted partner for employees and managers, using data‑driven insights to foster a fair and compliant workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Execute employee life‑cycle processes in line with group‑wide standards.
• Coordinate and deliver people initiatives and projects that affect assigned business units.
• Provide first‑line support for employee and labor relations inquiries.
• Assist with employee engagement activities to improve workplace satisfaction.
• Manage recruitment processes, including communication, guidelines, deadlines and Assessment Centers.
• Deliver onboarding for Store Management teams and follow‑up on training quality.
• Support performance management, development dialogues and succession planning for department managers and sales advisors.
• Analyse people metrics (headcount, turnover, training, hiring) and prepare KPI reports.
