Part-Time Dietary Aide

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Dietary Aide to join our Food Services team at the John M. Parrott Centre, a 168‑bed long‑term care home in Greater Napanee. You will help provide safe, nutritious meals to residents and guests while supporting a welcoming dining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Portion and serve meals accurately to residents and guests.
• Set and clear tables, maintain clean and sanitized dining and work areas.
• Assist with dishwashing and preparation of daily nourishments.
• Follow Public Health and Ministry of Health dietary compliance standards.
• Collaborate with the Dietary Services team and attend to additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Current Safe Food Handler Certificate.
• Food Service Worker Certificate or enrollment in an approved program within three months of start date.
• Secondary school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Experience operating kitchen equipment and serving food in a dining‑room setting.
• Strong communication skills in English and understanding of senior‑care needs.
• Ability to work patiently and tactfully with residents, guests, and staff.
• Good physical health and personal cleanliness.

Required skills
