Package Manager – Airside Development (Trivandrum, Mangalore, Ahmedabad)

About the role

The Package Manager for Airside Development works will report to the Project Director and act as the PMC lead for a comprehensive airside package covering runway extensions, taxiways, aprons, lighting, drainage, and related utilities across Trivandrum, Mangalore and Ahmedabad. The role is accountable for planning, design coordination, construction supervision, testing, commissioning and handover while ensuring safety and operational continuity in a live airport environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of the airside package from construction through testing, commissioning and operational handover, ensuring schedule, budget, quality and safety targets are met.
• Coordinate phased construction activities and implement mitigation measures to minimise disruption to airport operations.
• Manage interfaces among runways, taxiways, AGL systems, drainage, utilities, CNS/ATM facilities and regulatory authorities.
• Review and approve design deliverables, shop drawings, material approvals and method statements in line with ICAO SARPs, DGCA CARs and AAI requirements.
• Monitor progress, evaluate variations, claims and change requests, and report risks to the Project Director.

Required profile

• 15‑20 years of experience delivering major airport or transportation infrastructure projects, with at least 10 years in senior site‑based leadership roles.
• Proven ability to manage complex airside infrastructure packages, including runways, taxiways, aprons, lighting and utility networks.
• Strong knowledge of ICAO SARPs, DGCA regulations, AAI standards and airport operational procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management; Master’s and PMP/PRINCE2 preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Primavera, MS Project and BIM for digital project controls.
• Experience using dashboards and project analytics platforms for performance monitoring.
• Ability to conduct value engineering, constructability reviews and technical issue resolution.
