About the role
Amazon is looking for an Outbound Area Manager to lead a team within a fulfillment center. You will be responsible for ensuring safety, quality, customer experience, and productivity across the outbound operation.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor safety, quality, and productivity metrics for the outbound department.
- Review work forecasts and set daily productivity targets to meet overall building goals.
- Partner with other Area Managers to balance labor and maintain an efficient shift.
- Support safety programs and ensure OSHA compliance.
- Identify and lead process‑improvement initiatives using Lean tools.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience managing employee performance and using performance metrics.
- Experience with process improvement, Lean techniques, or similar methodologies.
- Direct management experience in a fast‑paced environment.
