Oracle EBS R12 Functional Consultant – India Tax (GST, TDS)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Oracle E‑Business Suite (EBS) R12 Functional Consultant with deep expertise in India tax localization, including GST, TDS and TCS. The role involves leading end‑to‑end implementations, configuring tax regimes, and ensuring statutory compliance for large enterprises.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and configuration of Oracle Financials for India (OFI) to support GST requirements.
• Configure tax regimes, types, rates, categories and defaulting mechanisms for AP, AR and PO transactions.
• Maintain the India Localization GST solution, including registration, tax liability calculation and Input Tax Credit management.
• Design and implement TDS and TCS scenarios, covering section codes and tax rates.
• Configure third‑party taxes, Bill of Entry and customs duty for imports.
• Manage tax reporting and statutory compliance (GSTR‑1, GSTR‑3B) and close tax periods in sub‑ledgers and GL.
• Resolve production incidents related to tax discrepancies, accounting entries and data fixes.
• Perform reconciliation of tax registers with the General Ledger and support month‑end and year‑end activities.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of hands‑on experience with Oracle EBS R12, focused on India tax localization.
• Minimum three full‑cycle implementations or major upgrade projects in India tax.
• Strong knowledge of AP, AR, GL and India Localization (OFI) modules.
• Proven expertise in GST (CGST, SGST, IGST, UTGST), TDS, TCS and customs duties.
